Little Monsters

May 19th, 2007

My in-laws have birthdays fairly close together, and a family get together was arranged for a little town half way between Canberra and Sydney.  So, I decided to surprise them with a birthday cake.  Given that everyone was going to be travelling, I thought it might be a good idea to create a cake that could be easily divided and taken home.  Although I made and iced the cakes, Clayton decided to lend a hand with creating the personalities.  I like to think that you can identify most of Claytons family within the cakes!  This was my first cake attempt in Australia, and the point when I realised that I had really missed doing it, but would like a better kitchen than the one we had in our Sydney apartment.  So nothing more came out of my kitchen in the form of cakes until we moved to Canberra.
